ISCP accidentally at end January 2020 saw a 4-month-old Sun bear baby at that TWA Sibolangit wildlife Rescue Center (https://www.tagar.id/pelihara-beruang-madu-pria-medan-diamankan-polisi) And ISCP have provided assistance by sent letter to be foster parent and approved by BKSDA/Wildife Authorithy, then give goat milk and a series of human baby porridge that veterinary recomended to us. Next,let us help the baby's bear grow and survive before its time to be released back into the wild later.
Miss Tia , one of the veterinarians on duty at the place, when ISCP met her, said, "The baby's bear condition when we received it from the Police was in good health but the condition of her body was directly involved because she did not get milk from her mother. We tried to replace it by giving milk and a series of human baby porridge for food every day, but sometimes, if we run out of funds, we replace it with another menu, because our financial situation at TWA Sibolangit is very limited.
The Project will solve the problem by help support funding operational through ISCP as bear cub Foster Parents program which fully accounted for by ISCP as its foster parents and also involves funding from donors parties participation through GlobalGiving who care about the survival of protected animals.and then together to help each other to maintain continuity for the life of the Honey Bear Baby before re-release to their habitat.
1.The Sun bear (Helarctos malayanus) cub growing and good threatment by additional food and enough nutrition supply . 2. The Animal Keeper and veterinarian get good new knowledge which this is the first time coming to the wildlife animal rescue center BKSDA TWA Sibolangit. 3.The Sun bear after getting adult later will very potential release back into the wild ,enjoy his freedom and looking for a life partner to add to an increasingly endangered bear population back up in the Sumatran forest
