Since the submission of our initial report, no additional survivors have been supported directly through the GlobalGiving funds. This is because, aside from the initial $ 120 donation received and utilized to support one survivor as previously reported, no further donations have come in through the platform.
Despite these limitations, The Ark Foundation has continued to provide small-scale capital support to survivors using its limited inetrnal resources. These modest contributions have helped some survivors begin rebuilding their livelihoods through small trading and income-generating activities. However, the amount currently available is often insufficient for survivors to comfortably establish and sustain their businesses without the added stress of sourcing additional capital elsewhere.
We remain hopeful that increased support and donations from Givers on the GlobalGiving platform will enable us to expand this initiative and provide more meaningful capital assistance to survivors. With adequate financial support, survivors will be better positioned to establish stable businesses, achieve economic independence, and rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
