Thanks to you and others who have contributed to our project, we have raised 40% of the funds needed to build a classroom for kids in rural Angola. We only need $17,898 more to give 100 kids, year after year, the opportunity for education. Your gift will have a lasting impact on the children, their families and communities!
The Executive Director of RISE, Lynn Cole, just returned from a trip to Angola, where she visited RISE-built schools, both under construction and in session. She witnessed firsthand the joy of kids learning in classrooms. A group of kids at a school construction site shared their excitement about being able to attend a beautiful school close to their homes. They were in desperate need of a school and there are so many others like them, as it is estimated that between 500,000 and 4 million children are still out of school.
Our work is not done and we grateful for those who partner with us to make a difference in the lives of these children. The principal from a RISE-built school said to Lynn, "When you go back, tell people that their investment is not in vain. One day, people will come from this school that will lead the country." This is the hope that your gift brings. Please join us in helping even more kids.
