Another month has passed since Russia started the war in Ukraine. Over 3.5 million people from Ukraine found refuge in Poland. The first wave of aid is over, but help is still needed. We need your help to keep going with our activities for refugees. We are asking you for the long-term HELP, especially for REGULAR (MONTHLY) DONATIONS, which are crucial to us!
The first days of the war in Ukraine paradoxically showed that there are many good people around us, ready to help. We see that this help cannot only be temporary, and we are all in a long process in which our friends will recover and re-arrange their lives. Refugees who remain in our region need comprehensive help: they need a place to live, work, school, and psychological support.
We run a Refugee Aid Center, where they can get help in every area of life. We organize language courses, activities for children and adults. We have already hired a few workers in Ukraine. Now we are renovating one floor of our building. We will create there a place for the inhabitants of Zywiec, especially for the refugees living here, where workshops, meetings and events will be held. Then we are going to create there temporary refugee housing, which can accommodate 16 people!
Our long-term goal is to create in our foundation place for a group of refugees, where they will find a place to live, work, psychological assistance, courses improving professional qualifications, childcare and additional activities (place where refugees will receive long-term assistance). We want them to be able to live and work in Poland, in Zywiec, and to integrate well with the local society.
