Start of Cooperation with tdh Germany

Dear Friends/Supporters,

Thanks to your continuous support we have been able to deserve the trust of wider range of partners from around the world and scale up our activities.

We are pleased to announce about the start of our cooperation with terre des hommes (Earth of Humanity) Germany for the development of rural communities with a particular focus on improving the situation of children in Tajikistan. Following more than two months of consultation and negotiations, we started collaboration with a pilot project “Access to Quality Healthcare by the Rural Population in Tajikistan” officially launched on October 1, 2021 with the duration of one year.

The project with the financial support of the tdh Germany amounting to EURO 25,000 comprises two components:

1) hard component for the renovation of four pediatric wards in the surgical unit of Devashtich District Central Hospital; and

2) soft component consisting of training sessions for 45 healthcare providers and an awareness campaign for 200 women of reproductive age. To achieve this objective, we will conduct 12 two-day training sessions for three groups of healthcare providers (neonatologists, pediatricians, and infectious diseases specialists) on:

neonatal resuscitation, infantile cerebral palsy, gastro-intestinal infections, neuralgic diseases, children’s hernia (congenital), COVID-19 in children: clinical picture, treatment and prevention, hematology: Verl Goff disease, acute vascular purpura: clinical picture and treatment, neuro-infection in children and its consequences, consequences of birth trauma in children and newborns, resuscitation of newborns, and development disease, stomach wall and disease. The training sessions will be conducted by national certified trainers with experience in international organizations’ projects to ensure the quality of the sessions and update the knowledge of healthcare providers on the latest clinical protocols. These sessions will improve the physicians’ knowledge on the above-mentioned topics and eventually ensure quality services to children of the district covered by the hospital.

With a view to improving the knowledge of mothers, we will arrange four awareness campaign on adequate nutrition of children of 0-5 ages. We plan to cover 200 women from five villages in the vicinity of Devashtich District administrative centre. These sessions will be conducted by professional nutrition trainers.

We will keep you updated about the progress in the project and our cooperation with other partners.

Please take a second to spread the word about us among your family, close persons to enable us to do more for rural needy people.

We take this opportunity to renew our heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you for your generosity, passion and care about the people in need.

Sincerely,

NGO Sadoqat
