We, at DWAF, empower and protect Deaf girls and women across Pakistan through awareness, education, and inclusion, focusing on safety and harassment prevention. In 2026, alongside Ramadan ration distribution, we conducted harassment awareness sessions in 22+ cities and all districts of Pakistan, guiding Deaf women on how to respond to unsafe situations and protect themselves. We continue these efforts to build a safer and more inclusive environment for Deaf women.
Deaf women in Pakistan face harassment and safety risks due to communication barriers, lack of awareness, and limited access to support systems, which makes them more vulnerable in daily life situations.
This project will reduce harassment risks for Deaf women by conducting awareness sessions across Pakistan, including 22+ cities and all districts. It will educate Deaf women on safety, self-protection, and how to respond to unsafe situations, while promoting respectful behavior in society.
