Since the start of 2026, WAVE has trained 126 young people through three market-driven programmes: Solar & Technical Skills Training, Entrepreneurship Training, and Customer Service Training. These programmes equipped participants with practical technical skills, workplace competencies, and career support to help them transition into meaningful employment or self-employment.
The impact of these programmes is already evident, with 70% of graduates securing employment directly through WAVE's network of employer partners. For many participants, this represents their first formal employment, providing a stable source of income and greater financial independence.
Beyond employment, participants have gained the confidence, industry-relevant skills, and professional exposure needed to thrive in today's workforce. Those who completed the Entrepreneurship Programme are applying their learning to build and strengthen small businesses, while graduates of the Solar & Technical Skills and Customer Service programmes are contributing to sectors where skilled talent remains in high demand.
These outcomes reflect WAVE's continued commitment to ensuring that training leads to opportunity. Every graduate who secures employment or builds a sustainable livelihood represents another young person whose economic prospects have been transformed, creating lasting benefits for their families, employers, and communities.
