Dear Well-wisher,

Greetings from FSI Nepal!

Food Security Initiative (FSI) Nepal is always thankful to all its well-wishers for your valuable support. The physically challenged children are vulnerable and deprived from getting education still they give big smile receiving education materials as gift that has only been possible because of your generous support.

FSI Nepal has been working as a nonprofit organization for the welfare and development of voiceless marginalized community. The organization mainly deals with the food and nutrition security however, health, education, livelihood, environment, agriculture are interlinked sectors that needs to address for food security. The “Help educate visually impaired children” aims to transforms live of option less children through providing basic education materials. Education is the most powerful indispensable strategy for global peace, prosperity and stability.  It is a powerful mechanism for empowering and uplifting the livelihood of the people and has played a significant role in transforming societies. The differently able children especially visually impaired children are highly deprived from education due to poverty and geographical downside, access to nearby schools and poor family background. It is an effective means to empower people with knowledge and skills enabling them to earn productively, to voice their concerns, and to secure their rights to live a dignified life.

The ultimate endeavor of this program is to ensure the school education as the fundamental rights of the children with focus on marginalized sections of the population. On January 19, 2018 FSI Nepal provided education materials that includes slate and white sheet to 9 visually impaired children. They were very happy getting the both knowledge and educataion materials. They were also served with nutritious, healthy and delicious food along with nutrition education with a purpose to provide knowledge regarding nutrition. In Nepal mostly in rural part, the situations of physically challenged children are not well addressed by the government. They need to educate first and nutritious food to break poverty cycle. Hence, we are more committed to provide other necessary education materials accessible instruction materials i.e printed ans electronic text books, talking calculator, computer, geometric box and others soon. You are always welcome to stand by us and support many differently able children for their bright future.

Huge thanks from the core of our heart for being significant part of our program.
