Hayk-during seminar

Dear Donors,

Thanks to your generosity, we support children living in remote communities in Armenia. As this project educates children who are marginalized from society, it is important for us to follow their progress, with education as a priority.

The main purpose of the project is to support the vulnerable and working children of the remote marzes of the Republic of Armenia. By using our specially designed course plan, we help them to acquire a basic education and create an unconstrained environment where children can communicate with their peers, acquire new friends, and fully integrate into society.

This time, the beneficiaries were instructed to record good and bad behavior during the week using a worksheet. For example, Mane mentioned that she won an exhibition but on the negative side reported that she had an argument with a close friend. Hayk noted helping his friend make a Christmas tree toy as good behavior, and as bad behavior he mentioned that he shouted at the teacher. This kind of social integration work helped our team to identify the perceptions and behavioral aspects of the beneficiaries.

During the next task, the participants were instructed to name the anxious thoughts that they wanted to let go of. Again, we would like to single out the examples of Mane and Hayk. Mane noted strained relationships in the classroom, as well as thoughts of illness, etc. Hayk mentioned conflicts with people, the state of war, and haste. This work also gave the beneficiaries an opportunity to think about their troubled thoughts. At the end of the meeting, we designed a creative task where the beneficiaries had to identify a good deed to undertake during the 12 days of the holidays. Mane's good deeds included buying gifts for all members of the house, helping mom with Christmas decorations, helping grandma and mom make sweets, etc. Hayk also mentioned buying gifts for family members, reading books with his younger brother, etc. This task provided an opportunity for our team to understand how the beneficiaries perceived doing a good deed and its continuity.

Dear Donors,

This program is full of both educational and social integration activities. We are happy to report that, day by day, the beneficiaries stabilize their thoughts, future actions and, most importantly, realize that education is the best force for building strong communities.

Dear Donors,

We present the story and message of our new beneficiary Mara to everyone.

Hello, my name is Mara. A year ago, I came to participate in this program, but since I was still young, I decided to wait a year, and now I am fully involved in this program. I have a sister and a brother; I love school, singing, and my family. When I grow up, I will become a teacher or a singer. I like studying and spending time with my girlfriend. I am excited to be a beneficiary of this program and have the opportunity to learn and develop my social skills. Now I want to present to you what interesting works I did during the seminar. The first was free work, where I painted nature and the environment where you live with my imagination. I liked to show my ideas and dreams on paper. Then, I was given a task where I had to paint the place where I felt at peace; I painted my house because at home, I am with my family, and it is very peaceful for me.

The next job was about being a good teammate. It was required to list the characteristics typical of a good teammate. This helped me discover and understand everything related to teamwork and its importance. I would like to mention another interesting work that we did.

It was required to mention the skills that are necessary to cope with anger. This was a wonderful trick to manage our emotions and anger. In addition to the educational aspect, this program has provided me with many important skills and abilities, for which I am grateful to all of you.

Dear Donors,

Your donations were directed to the implementation of a very important process: the provision of children's basic education in our target group. Each step inspires them to be courageous, competent and responsible. We are grateful to you for your support. And your donations were directed to the children’s bright future and an educated society in Armenia.

Dear donors,

We continue to support school-aged children in remote communities in Armenia and are ready to share with you the progress that is seen from time to time. Beneficiaries of this project come to the conviction that education is not a problem, and their knowledge and skills will be invested in the building of strong and sustainable communities soon, as they are the “driving force” of the community.

Education for our beneficiaries has become the key to the solution of life's problems and priorities. Some of them today confess that they are ready to continue their non-formal training with great enthusiasm and be an important part of society. Part of our target group, living in difficult conditions, sometimes even isolating themselves from their surroundings, miss educational training and which leads to psychological complications and breaks the normal rhythm of their lives.

The children of our communities show great interest in getting involved in the open classes where they can compose a view of the beautiful scenery and, of course, participate in the main educational activities. Due to your support, they played an activating game and each of them had the opportunity to share their small ideas that they would try to implement after getting motivated with education. They shared their stories with great enthusiasm. By having stationery and art supplies, the beneficiaries were able to portray the ways that will help them to reach their aims.

In the last part of the meeting, the participants were divided into groups. They were instructed to build their city. Each team will be tasked with developing and designing their city. They will work together to determine the following: The name of the city, 10 City Laws, Landmarks, City Flag, City Anthem, Libraries/Parks, City Holidays.

They will also be able to draw out their city, including the streets, buildings, and other structures. They will have to design a city flag and develop a 4-line anthem for the city. Once each team is complete, they will present their city to the group.

Dear Donors,

Due to your support and making such an impact on this project, we support children living in remote communities in Armenia and help them regain their knowledge. As this project gives basic education to children marginalized from society, it is important for us to follow them and, of course, make education a priority.

The main purpose of the project is to support the vulnerable and working children of the remote marzes of the Republic of Armenia to acquire basic education by using our specially designed course plan, also create a free and unconstrained environment where children can communicate with their peers, acquire new friends and fully integrate into the society.

In the distant marzes of the Republic of Armenia being in a vulnerable condition, children do manual hard work in their communities and villages. As a result, they miss the opportunity to acquire basic education, which is a very important factor in exploring and developing children's intellectual abilities. They become unconfident, self-contained, depressed; they don't get motivated to acquire essential knowledge for the rest of their lives.

This time, the beneficiaries present at the meeting had the opportunity to do work that will improve their social skills, strengthen their ability to work in a team, and help them overcome problems in their communities.

We hope that we will have a chance to share happier and important moments with you.

The following is Hayk's story and a message addressed to the donors.

Hi, I'm Hayk. I am very glad to participate in this project. It helps me to learn with my friends. We are looking forward to each lesson as besides the knowledge I also obtain new friends. Today I gained new valuable knowledge. Particularly I'd like to separate the section of the course related to Armenia. I have painted the symbols, the historical and picturesque sights of my country. I appreciate all the donors and people who try to accomplish our dreams.

Children in the beautiful Dilijan community
Children in the beautiful Dilijan community

 Dear donors,

Due to your support and making such an impact on this project, we carry on supporting children living in remote communities in Armenia and help them regain their knowledge. As this project gives basic education to children marginalized from society, it is important for us to follow them and, of course, make education a priority. Doing different types of work and sometimes being exploited, they forget that they will certainly need the missed knowledge and experience in their futures.

Children from the rural communities of our country feel the necessity of participating in such educational courses where they could have an opportunity to complete the missing knowledge and skills. Though vulnerable and constrained, they keep on showing up with suggestions for how they can get out of that situation and exist in society more confidently. And the key solution to these problems is certainly education.

This time, the beneficiaries present at the meeting had the opportunity to do work that will improve their social skills, strengthen their ability to work in a team, and help them overcome problems in their communities. The interactive meeting took place in Dilijan community, where the most beautiful scenery of Armenia prevails.

We hope that we will have a chance to share more happy and important moments with you.

We would like to inform you that the names of all project participants were changed in order to protect their privacy.

The following is Emil's story and a message addressed to the donors.

Hi, this is Emil. This is my first time participating in this program. Today, I am happy to do the wonderful tasks that help me strengthen my skills. My friends look at me, and they see my happiness. I am ready to participate in these seminars with pleasure to improve my life and future steps. Thanks to all the donors for this project.
