A series of earthquakes has severely affected communities in La Guaira, Venezuela, damaging homes, public infrastructure, and essential services. Many families have been displaced and are facing urgent challenges, including limited access to safe shelter, clean drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and other basic necessities. Children, pregnant women, older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income households are among those most affected. This project will provide emergency relief.
Powerful earthquakes have devastated La Guaira and northern Venezuela, destroying homes and critical infrastructure and displacing thousands of families. Many now lack safe shelter, clean water, sanitation, healthcare, food, and protection, increasing the risk of disease and prolonged hardship. Children, pregnant women, older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income families are among the most vulnerable. Immediate humanitarian assistance is needed to provide emergency response.
This project will mobilize USD 1,000,000 to deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance to earthquake-affected families in La Guaira, Venezuela, through partnerships with trusted local and international organizations. Support will provide 5,000 hygiene kits, safe drinking water, emergency sanitation facilities, mobile healthcare services, and mental health and psychosocial support for survivors. The project will prioritize children, women, older adults, people with disabilities and trauma.
With donor support, this project will help 25,000 earthquake survivors in La Guaira, Venezuela by providing emergency relief, distributing 5,000 hygiene kits, improving hygiene practices, and reducing disease risks.
