Happy New Year to all

Starting this newsletter by wishing you all a wonderful year health & happiness to each of you !!

As every year we started the New year by sharing the red envelop to the kids, hope you remember the story of these envelops I shared last year ? to make it short, this represent the happiness and the luck for the new year, and this New year is the Tiger year.

For this event we together made the traditional cakes for the new year, it’s always a great moment spent together.

The first days of the year as a tradition in our orphanage, it’s a day dedicated on the hometown historical memory, we usually spend that days visiting cultural place in the town and share the history about these places. The kids appreciate a lot these moments.

Also this time we would like to share our daily routine before prepare the dinner, yes yes see the pics it’s in the orphanage garden (remember the plantations we did last time…all grow well so since, we daily go and collect the plant and vegetable for the day, the kids are happy and proud to tell that this grow thanks to them

As usual we also shared food & milks to the poor family, and as you can see the pics, the kids have been very helpful

Just few words about the covid situation here, in the Orphanage and around the situation is pretty ok, even if the cases are increasing these days but no strong cases in the orphanage, most of the adult are vaccine now, the only issue right now is the lack of tourism due to this situation, the borders are closed since a while now and the people who was depending of the tourism are highly impacted and situation is going critical for them. We are of course helping and doing food distributions, helping the kids for clothes and medical urgency but the need is huge.. we all pray to have the normal life back again.

And again without you we would not be able to help all these kids and families so a BIG thank you for each of you and we again wish you a wonderful year…and we hope to see you in Vietnam soon if you come to Vietnam you can visit us !!!

Hi Everyone,

It’s still with an immense pleasure that I’m coming to you to give some news about our protected kids

This time I wanted to share with you some traditional event, the mid-autumn festival, unicorns dance… did you already hear about this festival ? historically it’s to celebrate the moon and the end of the harvest but it’s now became a tradition festival for the kids…it’s like Christmas for us and we give presents to the kids.

Due to the Covid situation the kids from the orphanage celebrated it between so less funny than before but it was a great day together with cakes, sweeties etc etc

The second topic is of course the Covid situation and how we are managing it in our orphanage, currently we are still in confinement and School are closed, this is really not easy for us to follow with all kids remotely, especially because we don’t have notebook/computer for each of the kids so do multiple session during the day to ensure a school follow up, very not easy situation for us but also the kids feel stuck and want go outside… fortunately this week the primary school are opening, hope the situation will not be bad again and the life will be back to normal soon.

Last topic is the construction work at the orphanage, I don’t know if you remember but we had many flood last year and the river bank increase until threaten the orphanage, we had to build a wall to protect our buildings and ensure the security for the kids, the main challenge was to find the rocks, it’s currently almost impossible to buy it so, but step by step it will be done.

Again all these things can’t be done without your help and support, really really thank you all for your donations and help !!!

Hope you appreciate the follow up and we promise you a new update soon :!!

Thanks all & Kind rgds

Hi Everyone,

It’s time to share with each of you the last update, hope that you’ll find it interesting, speaking to this we are doing a lot on daily basis for our protected kids so if you would like have a specific update or visibility just send us an email and we’ll ensure to have it in our next update.

The last 3 month was still special and still dealing with Covid restrictions etc, during that time the kids was studying from home and we ensure support for them, kids really miss the school and their other friends but situation is getting more and more better so we just have to be patient and life will be back to normal soon.

In the below pic you’ll find some kids very focused on the school work

Of course we also ensure that all families around have the necessary food & medical support, we regularly organize food distribution and even more now with the covid situation, the needs increased a lot and we have more and more families on trouble coming to us and requesting help. We again take this opportunity to thanks each of you for your support, if we can support them it’s because you support us.

Last news is a bad one, sorry for this but I wanted take this update opportunity to praise as we lost one of our protected kid… the short story of this girl is that she born with Aids transmitted by her parents, we take care of her during 18 years, she was a strong girl and was in battle every day during her 18 years… we are all sad today and pray for her and also pray that in some day we’ll not die because of Aids.

Thanks all again for your support.

For the first time of the Vietnam Social history, we are proud that the government nominated the orphanage that we are supporting (Tam Tieh Vien Homestay) as the best protection social center of Vietnam, this is a great recognition from the government to us all. We are so proud to be a part of this organization and helping the kids, so proud that all our efforts are being recognized.

This was a great start of the year and we take this opportunity to wish you all a very nice year ahead, health happiness and love.

For the Tet preparation we organize a cooking event with all the children and organize a distribution for poor family around, Kids was really happy to participate to this event and take the time to share home cook with external people, it was a great exchange.

Last but not least, with the Heritage education program from Hue capital center we organize a training day with heritage drawing & coloring activities, it was fun and then the kids went visit some heritage places to learn more about the cultural history but also to sensitize on how protect it.

I attached few pics from these activities, I hope that you’ll enjoy to see our protected children.

During that pandemic year it’s not easy to have social The kids join me to give you a virtual hug with a nice pic

Again thank you all for your donation, you are participating a lot to take care of these kids and ensure education, health and activities

We can’t thanks you enough, taking this opportunity to also thanks GlobalGiving for their support !

Hello Everyone,

what a strange New life we are leaving, i'm always really happy to give you some news but this time i don't have really good news and fun things to share :(

first of all let's speak Covid19, the good news here is we are back to a normal life, in comparison of other countries we are safe and only few cases are around, we provided Mask to all and we as the other countries ensure distenciation and all rules to avoid contamination and we drastically limit our outdoor activities, but even if the contamination is low we have huge economic impact due to a low tourist amount, many families are on high difficulties and we are trying to help them to maintain a normal life by giving food, clothes and stuff to help families to overcome these difficults times.

you'll find some pics with the kids and also some families.

in addition to this hard period of Covid, we are currently facing to some huge challenges with the weather, this year we had already 8 typhoons, the last one was very strong and most of the area are flooded, i attached a nice pic with the kid but the blind face of this is that we had many houses damaged, we just passed 7 days wihtout electricity and we are awaiting another Super Typhoon for tomorrow... we stay in a secure place so let's hope all will be ok.

sorry to not share this time many fun activities with kids smile but we are sure that we'll overcome this and we'll be back with a better time and news soon, we hope that all of you are safe and please take care of you and your families.
