We had an amazing time this fall! The most interesting event that happened in November was an exhibition “Special Children Painters’’ (punctuation marks are optional :). The exhibition was created to show art works of the disabled children from the orphanage 4. Children have been working on that collection for more than three years and were glad to see the attention they received. Many of these works were sold after the exhibition.
Theatre classes have some changes in it – our new theatre specialist – Christina Petrova – our former volunteer, started to work with lots of new ideas! The group she works with consists of 7 “weak” children – these children are rarely taken to other classes and they barely leave the orphanage. But Christina has an individual approach to every child and we can see how her love and care change them. During her classes Christina reads a lot to them and after that – creates the performance where children dance and sing. Now we have a lack of costumes and decorations, but Christina creates some of them too.
Theatre specialist also took part in all «Shag Navstrechu»’s camps. In a camp that we arranged in November she organized two visits to the theatre. We worried if children would want to watch the performance for one and a half hour but they enjoyed it a lot! They applauded and laughed watching the show.
This is a small report on how «Shag Navstrechu» and our fosterlings passed the autumn.
Thank you, friends, for your support! The work of the project would be impossible without your support.
