By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to repair four community boreholes and restore access to clean water for more than 2,000 people living across four rural villages in Uganda.
For the communities we serve, water is central to almost every aspect of daily life. When the boreholes stopped functioning, families faced difficult choices and had to travel farther to collect water from alternative sources. This created additional burdens for households and increased the risk of using unsafe water.
Your generosity helped Development Alert respond by supporting the repair of the four boreholes and working with community members to promote responsible management of the restored water points.
The results are already making a meaningful difference. Families can access water closer to home, children have more time to attend school, and women have more time to engage in farming and income-generating activities. Households are also better positioned to maintain hygiene and sanitation practices.
Most importantly, the project has restored a sense of security. Families no longer have to wonder where they will find water for their daily needs.
Thank you for your continued compassion and support. Your generosity has reached four villages and more than 2,000 people, proving that access to clean water can be a powerful foundation for healthier families and stronger communities.
