Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, Development Alert was able to mobilize communities, schools, and young people to take practical action to protect the environment and build resilience against climate-related challenges.
Through tree planting activities and environmental awareness sessions, community members learned about the importance of protecting forests, restoring degraded land, preventing soil erosion, and caring for trees after planting. Indigenous and fruit tree seedlings were planted in community spaces, schools, and household areas.
The project is creating benefits that will continue long after the planting activities are completed. Trees can provide shade, improve soil quality, support biodiversity, help protect water sources, and contribute to healthier ecosystems. Fruit trees can also provide families with nutritious food and potential future sources of income.
Young people have played an important role in these activities. By involving students and youth groups, we are helping develop a generation that understands the importance of environmental stewardship and climate resilience.
Your support is helping communities recognize that protecting the environment is not only a responsibility but also an investment in their own future.
Thank you for your continued compassion and support. Together, we are planting hope, strengthening communities, and creating a greener and more sustainable Uganda for future generations.
