By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to expand opportunities for 15 women to improve their livelihoods, strengthen their leadership skills, and contribute more actively to community development across rural Uganda.
Through Development Alert's women's empowerment initiative, participants received entrepreneurship training, financial literacy education, vocational skills, and mentorship designed to increase both economic independence and personal confidence. Women also participated in group discussions that encouraged peer learning, leadership development, and community collaboration.
Many participants have already started or expanded small businesses that generate income to support their families. Others have become active members of local savings groups, allowing them to invest in education, healthcare, and business growth. Their increased confidence is inspiring more women to become involved in community decision-making and local development initiatives.
The positive impact extends well beyond individual participants. Families are experiencing improved financial stability, children are remaining in school, and communities are benefiting from stronger female leadership and greater economic participation.
Thank you for your continued compassion and generosity. Your support is empowering women to become confident entrepreneurs, respected leaders, and powerful agents of lasting change within their communities.
