Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to repair 8 community boreholes that had been out of service, restoring access to clean and safe drinking water for close to 5000 of residents in rural Uganda.
For months, families had relied on unsafe water sources that exposed them to waterborne diseases and forced women and children to travel long distances in search of water. Following the repair, community members once again have reliable access to safe water close to their homes.
This restoration has improved hygiene, reduced illness, and given families more time for education, farming, and income-generating activities. Community members have also been trained on proper maintenance to help ensure the borehole remains functional for years to come.
