Expanding Access to Safe Water for Rural Communities
Development Alert continues to expand access to safe and reliable water sources for rural communities. During this reporting period, both borehole drilling and repair initiatives have improved water access for hundreds of households. Families that once depended on unsafe sources now enjoy clean water close to their homes.
This transformation has significantly reduced waterborne diseases and improved hygiene practices. Women and children, who traditionally spent hours fetching water, now have more time for education and economic activities. Schools have also benefited from improved sanitation, leading to better attendance.
Despite this progress, many communities still face water scarcity. Continued donor support will enable Development Alert to expand water access and improve lives.
