Feeding Programs Supporting Learning and Health

By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader

Feeding Programs Supporting Learning and Health

Thank you so much our beloved supporter.

With your generousity, Development Alert’s school feeding program continues to play a vital role in improving both the educational and health outcomes of children. During this reporting period, hundreds of learners have benefited from regular nutritious meals provided at school. For many of these children, the meals they receive are the only reliable source of food throughout the day.

The impact of this program is evident in improved attendance, increased concentration, and better academic performance. Children who previously struggled to focus due to hunger are now more engaged and active in class. Teachers have reported that students are more attentive and eager to participate in learning activities. In addition, improved nutrition has contributed to better overall health, reducing illness-related absenteeism.

Parents have expressed gratitude for the program, as it reduces the burden of providing meals during school hours. Despite these achievements, the need continues to grow as more families face economic challenges. Continued donor support is essential to sustain and expand this program, ensuring that no child is forced to learn on an empty stomach.
