Expanding School Feeding to Reach 400 Children
Development Alert has significantly expanded its school feeding program, now reaching over 400 children with nutritious meals. This initiative has had a transformative effect on both education and health outcomes.
Many children previously attended school hungry, which affected their concentration and participation in class. With the introduction of regular meals, teachers have reported improved attentiveness, higher attendance rates, and better academic performance.
For some children, this program provides their only reliable meal of the day, making it a critical lifeline for their well-being. Parents have also expressed relief, knowing their children are supported during school hours.
In addition, improved nutrition has contributed to better overall health, reducing illness-related absenteeism. However, the demand for feeding programs continues to grow as more families face economic challenges.
Continued donor support will ensure that this initiative is sustained and expanded, allowing even more children to learn, grow, and thrive in a healthy environment.
