Rural Children's Hope plans to construct two classrooms to provide free Early childhood Education for 115 vulnerable children from poor families in Nyakuwalo village, Sinda District, Eastern Province in rural Zambia .
There are currently more than 300 children under the age of 12 years in Nyakuwalo village , who have to walk long distances to access pre and primary due to lack of a community school in the village. In Zambia access to Early Childhood Education is very low. Only 17% of children Enrolled in Primary education had access to Early childhood Education.
Rural children's Hope will construct a 1x2 classrooms to provide free early childhood education to 115 vulnerable children from poor families with the donations of well wishers and contribution of community members to improve access to quality Early childhood education in Nyakuwalo village.
This project will provide early childhood education to 115 vulnerable children to develop the critical skills they need to succeed in school and less likely to repeat grades or drop out. Children participation in early childhood learning , offers mothers and other caregivers' opportunities to participate in the workforce and increase their earnings.
