The past three months have marked a major turning point for Kids Club. In March, we said goodbye to our rental venue—the space where so many children with special needs first found belonging, structure, and joy. It was emotional for both students and staff, as this venue had become a second home.
But thanks to your continued support, this wasn’t the end of Kids Club—it was a new beginning.
Goodbye to the Old, Hello to the New
April was all about transition. We spent the month carefully packing materials, saying farewell to familiar routines, and clearing land at our new, more permanent site. Located in a peaceful garden setting filled with trees, our new lot offers us long-term security and a chance to build something truly child-centered.
Thanks to generous donors—including monthly supporters and friends like Siargao Wakepark, Serenity, Zoe & Ann, Kaisa & Lee, and Adhika—we were able to begin building our new venue.
In May, construction of our open-air sala began. We now operate 6 days a week again, despite lacking electricity, toilets, or storage. But we are here—and that matters more than anything.
What’s Happening at the New Kids Club
Even with limited facilities, our children with special needs have returned and resumed their daily activities. Familiar faces like Chloe, Dhay, and Loy bring life to the space again. Their learning continues through morning tutorials, art sessions, and sensory-friendly routines.
We’ve also welcomed volunteers who’ve offered their talents in yoga sessions, arts & crafts, and movie nights. Our beach clean-up and Trash-to-Art program continues to inspire, as children turn collected waste into beautiful creations—and even visited our Recycling Art Studio to see the upcycling process in action.
Why It Matters
With each activity and every moment of learning, our students regain routine and confidence. For many children with disabilities, Kids Club remains their only space for education and social interaction.
Though our setup is basic, the purpose behind it is strong. We are now focused on raising funds to add a toilet, secure storage, and a future classroom dedicated to children with special needs. Small steps—but each one brings us closer to a safe, inclusive center for all.
Thank You
This progress would not be possible without your help. The past months have shown us how fragile—but also how powerful—community support can be. Thank you to all our monthly donors who continue to carry us through times of change. Because of you, our children have a place to learn, grow, and belong.
With heartfelt gratitude,
