Did you know that Dima's DREAM came true?!

By Elena Volodina | Director of the Diema's Dream Fund (Russia)

Hello from Russia! How are you our friend?!

We hope this good news show the changes we did in one little boy live!

In February one more Dream came true!

Every month we pay for operation or treatment for children with cerebral palsy. Last time it was little Dima (the name is changed).
With Your help, Dima has been treated in China! In the clinic for children with cerebral palsy Arkan-Biwan all purposes for Dima were designed to develop contractures, reduce spasticity, improve the vestibular system, increase muscle strength and range of motion.

The child received the following treatment:

  • droppers,
  • acupuncture,
  • physical therapy,
  • hands massage,
  • logopedist massage,
  • sensory-integrative therapy,
  • foot massage with pre-steaming in the decoction of herbs,
  • general and acupressure.

What was achieved during this course?

  1. Most importantly - able to develop contractures at the wrist joints. Now it is much easier for Dima to hold the spoon, the boy learned to eat much faster and neater.
  2. The force of arms increased, as well as the amount of movement in the hands.
  3. Speech also became clearer and louder.

Of course, the cerebral palsy involves not one course of treatment, but Dima has improved and he is even closer to the goal-to learn all the skills of self-care! Dima’s family transmits a low bow and thanks to all who did not remain indifferent and helped".

We Express our deep appreciation to You for improving the quality of life of children with severe developmental disabilities! Your help is invaluable!

But still so many children need Your help! Tell your friends about us and friends, please support our project!
