Help 20 Children in Nepal to Walk on Their Own

Thank you so much for your support!  We wanted to share an update on our Bonus Day activities. Wednesday, March 21st was GlobalGiving "Bonus Day" in which we had a chance to compete for matching dollars for our "Help 20 Children in Nepal to Walk on Their Own" project.

We are delighted to report that, thanks to you, we exceeded our goal of raising $5,000 from 40 unique donors.  In fact yesterday, in just one day, 37 donors gave $4,473! These gifts were matched by GlobalGiving with $257 to bring our project to a grand total of $5,833 from 55 donors!  We are thrilled and so humbled by your generosity!

Healing the Children is a small but mighty organization.  We are able to do so much with your donation thanks to our wonderful volunteers and donated medicines, supplies, and equipment.  As our medical team gets ready for their trip to Nepal next month, they are taking personal vacation or leave without pay, paying for their own flights and hotels, and giving their valued skills to help heal children.  The value of their talent is unlimited and we are so grateful.  When you donate $1 to a Healing the Children project your gift is matched by $12 in in-kind contributions - that is the power and impact of your giving!

Dr. Jennifer says that she can still use donations through March 30th to help provide additional evaluations, post-op services, and team expenses. So please continue to share with friends this important project.

Thank you for your support of our project.  We have raised $935 in the past week thanks to caring people like you.  But, we are short of our goal by $4,650!  We have work to do to meet our $5,000 target.

So we are asking for your help to keep the momentum going.

On Wednesday, March 21st our project is eligible to compete for matching funds.  This means all funds raised that day can be matched through a $10K matching gifts pool  AND if we met our goal of $5,000 on Wednesday, we might recieve a bonus of $1,000!  That is pretty powerful!
