In September 2014, IBREA finalized the implementation of the Brain Education curriculum to the second national-level group. The group consisted of 242 participants, grouped by Departments (regions), including principals, teachers, doctors/health workers treating educational staff, and government officials from the Ministry of Education's headquarters in San Salvador.

To date, overall, since the project's start in 2011, approximately 700 people have received the training directly from IBREA, including both adults and students. About 80% of adult participants have been replicating, as agreed with the Ministry of Education, reaching a high number of indirect beneciaries.

The model is seen as a successful case in the UN and among other Central American countries, who are considering its replication in their own public school system.

The data collected is now being evaluated to measure the changes. From their testimonies, there have been many improvements in their lives, some prevented operations, one of the participants stopped her medication for cancer treatment, many participants lost 10 and up to 20 pounds, reducing related health risks like heart problems and ciruclation problems. Emotionally, they report being better able to manage their stress and their interpersonal relations. Many also share they are experiencing better concentration and focus and more clarity to make decisions.

Enjoy the images of their big effort and their smiles!
