El pasado 12 de marzo de 2017, realizamos nuestra 4ta Caminata de la Luz por los niños con cáncer para conmemorar el Día Internacional de Cáncer Infantil que se celebra todos los años, cada 15 de febrero.
Este evento cuenta con el apoyo de la comunidad ciudadana,quienes hacen una donación a la Fundación Andrea y Vanessa de $40.000 pesos por adulto y $ 30.000 pesos por niño para participar en la caminata. Al aportar esta donación, a cada persona se le entrega una camiseta y una linterna. De esta manera, todos los colaboradores caminan con nosotros para que la luz de los niños nunca se apague.
Los recaudos de las donaciones obtenidas para la 4ta Caminata de la Luz sirven para continuar brindándoles alimentación, hospedaje y transporte gratuito a los niños que llegan a la Fundación Andrea y Vanessa en Barranquilla, ciudad donde reciben sus respectivos tratamientos en distintos hospitales.
La 4ta Caminata de la Luz contó con el apoyo de aproximadamente seiscientas personas que caminaron con nosotros por 4 kilómetros, portando en sus camisetas el lema “CAMINO POR UNA CAUSA, LUCHO POR UNACURA”, para que estos niños siempre tengan lo necesario para poder salir adelante.
Gracias a todas las personas que nos acompañaron y apoyaron.
On March 12, 2017, we held our 4th Walk of Light for Children with Cancer, to commemorate the International Day of Childhood Cancer which is celebrated every February 15th.
This event received the support of the city community, by donating $ 15.00 dollars per adult and $13.00 per child to participate and walk with us during this day. With this donation each person received a t-shirt and a flashlight. This way, all of our collaborators walked with us, so that the children´s light of hope never burns out.
The donations obtained during the 4th Walk of Light serve to continue providing food, lodging and transportation for free to children who arrive at the Andrea and Vanessa Foundation in Barranquilla, where they receive their respective treatments in different hospitals.
The 4th Walk of Light received support of about six hundred people who walked for 4 kilometers, wearing their T-shirts with the slogan "WALK FOR A CAUSE, FIGHT FOR A CURE”.
We want to thank everyone who walked with us and collaborated.
