In May, Shanta Foundation collaborated with Fort Lewis College's Village Aid Project to install a robust solar and water system to the regional school campus. In 2024, the collaboration brought clean water taps to two of our partner villages, bringing safe water for community members for the first time.
2025 projects include not only water and power to the school, but also the health clinic and teacher housing- all of these places have been devoid of both of these basic necessities.
FLC students traveled to Zambia in May and worked along side community members to install water taps and solar panels. Yesterday was an exciting day when the final wiring was completed and power became a reality to this underserved area. Join us in celebrating this incredible success!
