I am proud to say that the project has made some great progress over these past few months. With the support of generous individuals we have been able to further the plans for the future community center. We now have the land necessary to build the center. The land is being donated by the Dorsett Family in Nassau, Bahamas. We now just need to fundraise for materials. The current goal is to raise $100,000 to build the structure. The plan is to build a two story structure that will facilitate a wide variety of activities and offer many opportunities. The architectural plans are currently being created, and will be shared once they are completed.
I will be travelling with volunteers in early March back to Nassau in order to continue the planning for the center, and we will also be running fun activities for the kids. The change that will come from the construction of this community center can not be understated. We all have a unique opportunity to positively benefit a large amount of children, and I thank everyone for helping to make a difference.
