This project aims to bring needed supplies, food, personal protective equipment (PPE's) and medications for inpatients and vulnerable people with disabilities (PWDs) who live in impoverished conditions, and can't leave their homes during this lock-down. By donating, BASR will be able to support 700 PWDs who were scoped so far, and 400 inpatients and employees and keep them safe and protected amidst this pandemic.
BASR is working hard to maintain the safety of our patients and employees amidst the COVID 19 pandemic, the increase in prices and lock-down, has caused a strain to obtain all needed items needed for the hospital to prevent the spread of the virus. Moreover, BASR has scoped the needs of 700 People with Disabilities (PWDs) in Palestine, who are struggling amidst the lock-down in different marginalized areas, and are currently in high need of food, medications and PPEs.
This project aims to alleviate the strain imposed on patients and vulnerable communities especially PWDs who live in difficult conditions, by presenting them with urgently needed hygiene equipment, medications, supplies and food packages. In addition, it will help BASR in bringing all the needed supplies that will ensure the safety of its inpatients, and employees.
The pandemic has hit many people economically, and so far over 150,000 families are struggling. This project will try to support as many patients and PWDs as possible, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized by providing them with needed supplies that help them sustain their well being, safety and hygiene. This intervention will create also a shared database for relevant stakeholders in the field so all can pool their resources together and help as many marginalized people as possible.
