Help over 1,000 rural women in Chittagong, Bangladesh access resources to generate social and economic self-sufficiency and a better livelihood for themselves and their families.
350 families in 3 villages will benefit by providing them knowledge, business capital and support to improve their living conditions. By targeting women it provides them with key resources to enable them to take control of their lives through self-help groups and skills training.
Provide skills development in business and support women entrepreneurial skills with microcredit. Raise awareness by offering training in gender equality, farmers’ rights, and importance of economic independence. Provide medical care and support.
Equip women with tools and training for alternative employment and financial security. Through health and social awareness, upgrade the status of women at family and community level, protect them from violence, and promote gender equality.
