Our team at INMED USA has been so busy since our last update that it’s hard to keep up with all the activity! Here are just a few examples:
Featured Cause for BOS Meeting
After a beautiful community celebration to end 2021, our team kicked off the new year in high gear. INMED USA was the featured organization for January’s Voice for a Cause presentation to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors—a coveted opportunity among Loudoun’s nonprofits. Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall personally selected INMED to spotlight after meeting with INMED US Programs Director Jennifer Smith and the team at the Opportunity Center in November. We’re looking forward to building new partnerships with county agencies in 2022.
Healthy Families Loudoun Still Best in Class
We’re also pleased to announce that INMED USA’s Healthy Families Loudoun (HFL) continues to be a top Healthy Families Virginia program to prevent child abuse and neglect, according to a recent quality assurance assessment.
HFL is a three-year child abuse and neglect prevention program that helps at-risk, first-time parents build a foundation for self-reliant families and raise children who enter school ready to learn and succeed. The program includes intensive case management, regular home visits, parent education classes and support groups, access to critical resources, and mentorship.
INMED USA has delivered the program for 24 years, improving the lives of thousands of families throughout Loudoun County.
The team and participating families achieved a 100% success rate for babies having medical providers and up-to-date immunizations and a 90% success rate for well-baby visits. The HFL team also scored high marks for expanding access to vital resources for struggling families. CLICK HERE to read more.
Zumbathon!
INMED USA’s weekly online Zumba class has become so popular that we’re offering a 2-hour class with four top instructors on Saturday, March 19 from 9am-11 am EDT to raise funds for our Zumba for Families program. For just $20, you can get the best workout of your life while helping disadvantaged families improve their health and wellbeing. Please join us for this fun VIRTUAL event by registering HERE.
Building LEGACY
INMED USA is raising funds to launch our new LEGACY program for at-risk teens. LEGACY will focus on mental health and well-being, STEM skills development, and a career exploration program that provides access to resources and opportunities that are out of reach for their families. We hope you will consider making a special donation to help us make this vital program a reality.
You can also help us by following, liking and sharing our social media posts on Facebook and Instagram. As always, we are grateful for your support and wish you all the best until our next update!
