lndian Association for the Blind (lAB),based in Madurai, South India, is a well-known non-profit organization working at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visual challenges. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, employment and rehabilitation opportunities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children and adults with a special focus on those living in rural areas.
We have received 7 donations for this project which has helped raise $80.99. We are glad to be associated with GlobalGiving as it provides us an opportunity to connect with numerous philanthropists. The funds received from this will be used to help provide college education to our visually challenged beneficiaries. Through this, they earn the chance to do their Masters Degree and educate themselves. This in turn will help them reach heights.
We hope to fund more for this project by way of connecting with more donors from every nook and corner of the world. The timely help from generous donors will truly help in empowering not only them but even their future generations to come. It will be beneficial to them in learning the art of leading a dignified life and becoming productive members of society.
