By Hospital Pablo Tobon Uribe | Hospital Pablo Tobon Uribe
What has the Institute's support
for your education meant to
you and your family?
For my family, the Institute has
represented a major source of
support that has had a positive
impact on everyone. We are
deeply grateful to the Institute
because it has enabled me to
grow as a person and it has also
given me all the necessary tools
for performing well in the work
environment.
How do you envision your
future in the nursing field?
With the knowledge and good
habits that I have learned from
the teachers and the director of
the Institute, I feel confident
about, and have the privilege of,
saying that I would be a very
good addition to any hospital
that requests my services.

Camila's Story
By Hospital Pablo Tobon Uribe | Camila's Story
Despite the pandemic, what is it you enjoy the most about being a student at the Pablo Tobón Uribe Education Institute?
The knowledge our teachers offer us despite the diffculties we’ve all been having; they have helped us in different ways to make sure that we fully understand all subjects and topics. I love this profession and I've seen how the Institute has made everything possible to never leave us on our own. Besides, this has been a new experience that has taught me to never let the adversities bring me down and to keep moving forward, fighting for what motivates me.
What is it that motivates you to remain in this nursing assistance program offered by the Pablo Tobón Uribe Education Institute?
My family, most of all, but also my dreams and the great opportunities the Institute has given me. I want to give the best of me because I don’t want to betray the trust everyone in the Institute has put in me.

Education Focused on Employment and Human
By Hospital Pablo Tobon Uribe | Marlleys Story
HOSPITAL PABLO TOBÓN URIBE EDUCATION INSTITUTE Education Focused on Employment and Human What has the experience of being part of the Pablo Tobón Uribe Education Institution been like for you and your family? Marlley I feel very lucky for being able to study at the Institute; I thank God every day for granting me this big wish. It has been a great experience filled with new knowledge, emotions and opportunities. I have learned a lot from my teachers, classmates and everyone that is part of the Institute. This is a wonderful opportunity because, apart from the fact that I’m studying something I feel I have a vocation for, I have also received a great deal of support from the Pablo Tobón Uribe Institute: from the knowledge shared by the teachers to the economic aid, which is a big benefit not only for me but for my family too. My entire family, especially my mom, are really happy about me getting my training as a nursing assistant at the Institute... It is a major blessing being able to study at the Pablo Tobón Uribe Institute! Why did you choose the nursing assistance program offered by Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe’s Education Institute? At high school, a teacher suggested everyone who were not admitted to college but wanted to study a healthcare-related program to go visit the Institute. He gave us a leaflet with all the information. I had already looked into other education centers that offered similar programs, but I got really excited about this one and gathered all the necessary documents to apply to this Institute. In the meeting we had with the Director when we visited the Institute, it was inspiring to hear what she said about this calling, this vocation, beyond the rewards it may bring, the deep motto of the Hospital and all the aids students can get while training to become excellent nursing assistants despite not having many resources. All this motivated me to strive to be admitted into the Institute because, in addition to being the program I was looking for, the Hospital’s deeply humane culture and language focused on renouncing the self to give yourself to the service is something that captivated me because it represents the care for the human fragility of people who are suffering from an illness without forgetting about their dignity. This is why I decided to choose the Pablo Tobón Uribe Institute’s nursing assistance technical program with all my joy, trust and determination.
