Education is Power

By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader

Education has the power to transform lives—but for many children in rural Uganda, reaching and completing secondary school remains a distant dream.

Every year, bright and determined students are forced to drop out due to lack of school fees, uniforms, and basic learning materials. Behind every dropout is a story of potential cut short—not because of lack of ability, but because of lack of support.

Through this GlobalGiving project, Development Alert is working to change that reality by supporting 100 disadvantaged students to access and complete secondary education.

With your support, we are providing tuition, scholastic materials, and essential school supplies—ensuring that these students can stay in school, focus on their studies, and build a better future.

Impact So Far

  • Increased school retention among supported students
  • Improved academic performance and confidence
  • Renewed hope for students and their families
  • Reduced risk of early dropout and child labor

Each student supported represents a future protected—a teacher, nurse, leader, or entrepreneur in the making.

The Need Now

Despite this progress, many students still face uncertainty each school term. Without continued support, they risk falling behind or dropping out entirely.

Call to Action

We urgently invite you to join us in keeping these 100 students in school.

Your support can:

  • Pay school fees for a term
  • Provide books and learning materials
  • Give a child the chance to stay in school and succeed

Together, we can ensure that education is not a privilege, but a right accessible to all.

Donate today. Change a life forever.
