Dear Donor,
Thank you for your valuable support in enabling the training of community stakeholders in Ntarama. We are pleased to share that we successfully conducted a training session with 29 participants, including parents of children with disabilities, community volunteers such as community health workers and para-social workers, and teachers.
The training introduced the COST (Community Stakeholder Training) module, a purposefully developed approach designed to empower community stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to promote disability inclusion at the community level.
During the training, participants gained a deeper understanding of disability and explored what meaningful inclusion of children with disabilities entails. They were introduced to practical strategies, including principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and committed to applying these approaches within their respective settings to foster more inclusive communities.
We plan to organize a follow-up session with all participants to provide a platform for sharing experiences, reflecting on progress, and learning from community-driven practices and achievements.
Your contribution continues to make a significant difference in advancing inclusive communities and improving opportunities for children with disabilities. We sincerely appreciate your partnership and commitment to this important work.
