Flooding in rural Ghana often destroys farms, crops, livestock, and food supplies, leaving farming families without income and struggling to survive. Many affected farmers lose their harvests and lack the resources needed to restart farming activities. This project will support 500 vulnerable farmers affected by floods with farm inputs, recovery assistance, and livelihood support to help rebuild their lives and restore food production.
Flood disasters continue to affect farming communities across Ghana, destroying crops, contaminating farmlands, and damaging farming equipment. Many farmers lose their only source of income and are unable to afford seeds, tools, fertilizers, or livestock after disasters. Without support, affected families face hunger, financial hardship, and long-term poverty.
This project will provide flood-affected farmers with seeds, fertilizers, farming tools, and livelihood recovery support to help them restart agricultural activities. Farmers will also receive training on climate-resilient farming practices, disaster preparedness, and sustainable farming methods to reduce future losses.
This project will help 500 farmers recover from flood disasters, restore food production, and improve household income in vulnerable farming communities. It will strengthen food security, increase resilience against future disasters, and help farming families rebuild sustainable livelihoods.
