Empower 50 deaf individuals, especially women and youth, through sewing and tailoring training. This project provides hands-on skills, basic business knowledge, and sewing machines to help them start earning from home. It promotes independence, dignity, and financial stability, enabling participants to support their families and become active members of society. Your support can turn skills into sustainable livelihoods.
Deaf individuals face major barriers to education, skills training, and employment due to communication gaps and lack of inclusive opportunities. Many remain unemployed and financially dependent despite their willingness to work. Women and youth are especially vulnerable. Without access to vocational training and tools like sewing machines, they cannot earn a stable income, trapping them in a cycle of poverty and social exclusion.
This project will provide 50 deaf individuals with practical sewing and tailoring training in an inclusive environment supported by sign language. Along with skill development, participants will receive sewing machines to start earning from home. By combining training, tools, and basic business guidance, the project enables financial independence, reduces unemployment, and helps break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion.
Each training course will run for 6 months, after which at least 50 deaf individuals will complete the program and start earning. With each new batch, more participants will gain skills and income, creating a sustainable ripple effect. Over time, this will reduce poverty, promote financial independence, and inspire community inclusion, enabling a growing number of deaf and differently-abled individuals to lead dignified, self-reliant lives.
