FEDWEN Kenya Plans to establish a Salon and Kinyozi as an income Generating project forYouth Deaf Girls in Nakuru village to assist in creating the job opportunity.It will help deaf young girls desist from immoral behavior, and avoid being used by older men for pay.
There are currently 590 Deaf youth male and females in Nakuru county aged between 19-25 out of school and unemployed due to the economic situation in the country and their semi-literacy.Oserian flowers which used to employ them as casual laborers has entrenched many workers. .Even the county government has no vacancy for them.This project will provide both skills and self-reliance by training the Deaf youth with skills on hairdressing as well as providing them with job opportunity in project
The project will contribute to the followings: -Skills building to deaf youth. -Create employment -self-reliance eradicate bad behavior and idleness irradicate you sex exploitation by the working class.
we will equip 350 deaf youths with entrepreneurship skills allowing them to manage group business or start own business.The skills gained will also be passed on to members who will join the group after school.It will help them to benefit from Government youth fund
