Help 300 low-income girls escape from poverty trap

GREAT NEWS for our dearest Donors

We began the semester on March 4, 2024 with a total of 70 adolescents enrolled, always prioritizing the training that most transforms their lives: self-knowledge, socio-emotional skills, the dignity of their body and self-esteem along with personalized training through mentoring.

This semester, we are pleased to announce a new partnership with Cisco Academy, which has allowed us to offer certification opportunities in Python programming, professional competencies and research, as well as English courses.

During this period, we have organized a number of significant events, including film forums, talks with special guests, cooking classes and a visit to one of the Universities that grant scholarships to young graduates of the Juventus program.

We are also planning future projects, such as training parents on issues related to cybersecurity and further strengthening mentoring through volunteering and knowledge transfer with experts.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude!!!!! to all of you - institutions and individuals- who have contributed to the development of our students to be the women leaders who will contribute in the future to the achievement of a more just and equitable society.

We want to thank our donors, volunteers and other benefactors!!!! because their efforts made the progress of this last semester possible. We want to share with you the harvest of this work that moves us to continue putting more effort and dedication so that more young women do not fall into poverty traps.

 Juventus continues to have a valuable positive impact this semester:

• We reached 70 direct beneficiaries and 250 indirect beneficiaries;

• Once again we verify that our comprehensive training proposal focused on being, knowing and doing leaves an indelible mark on the girls – they develop technical skills along with the management of emotions and self-knowledge to face life's challenges;

• Our girls, despite being divided by ages between 14 and 17 years old, have managed to forge a solid union among them, promoting mutual understanding and collective learning. They are empathetic, dreamy, tolerant, respectful and persevering young people;

• The university scholarships that we grant through our academy benefactors fill us with more happiness and the desire to continue working on the transformation of lives: 4 beneficiaries obtained a scholarship at the Catholic University of Colombia to study architecture, psychology and law; 5 at the Universidad de la Sabana to study law, international business administration, computer engineering, nursing and medicine; 1 scholarship at the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences to study geographic and environmental engineering and 1 scholarship at the ECCI University to study nursing.

Additionally, our girls have had a unique experience that opens up opportunities for them to expand their horizons and dreams: being beneficiaries of corporate volunteering with two large IT multinational companies such as Juniper and Cisco; The girls were able to learn about the company's operations, the experiences of its employees, knew different work fields and acquired tools for their life projects.
