Botswana Youth for Social Development association has been able to launch 2 new projects in the last half of the year and set up two all year fundraisers which have employed a number of youth from different marginalised communities.
Our greatest truimph has been the success of our literacy program which has shown outstanding results. The children are showing highlevels of confidence and assertiveness and a fond of the team . They have shown a liking in the exercises they untertake both arts and crafts and literacy programs.
Moreover one of our fundraiser have now taken up the mandate of the Soup Kitchen which halted in April this year due to lack of funding. The Haven Cafe now gives free meals to two child headed households in Bontleng and White City (some of the disadvantaged and marginalised communities) in Gaborone.
