Many kidney patients receiving treatment at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital struggle to afford the high cost of dialysis needed to stay alive. Low-income patients often miss life-saving treatment sessions because of financial hardship, placing their health and lives at serious risk. This project will provide financial assistance, dialysis support, medicines, and emergency care assistance for 200 poor patients receiving dialysis treatment at Korle Bu.
Dialysis treatment for kidney failure is extremely expensive and requires regular hospital visits. Many vulnerable patients and families cannot afford repeated dialysis sessions, laboratory tests, medications, transportation, and other related medical expenses. Without consistent treatment, patients face severe complications, worsening health conditions, and increased risk of death.
This project will help cover dialysis treatment costs, laboratory investigations, medicines, transportation support, and emergency medical assistance for poor kidney patients. The project will also provide counseling and patient support services to help vulnerable individuals continue their treatment and improve their quality of life.
This project will improve access to life-saving dialysis treatment for 200 poor patients at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. It will reduce treatment interruptions, improve patient survival and well-being, reduce financial hardship on families, and provide critical healthcare support for vulnerable kidney patients.
