Floods in vulnerable communities across Ghana often destroy homes, contaminate water sources, and limit access to healthcare services. Many affected families suffer from injuries, infections, malaria, diarrhea, and other illnesses after disasters but cannot afford medical treatment. This project will provide emergency healthcare, medicines, health screening, and medical outreach services for 200 flood victims in affected communities.
Flood disasters expose vulnerable families to serious health risks and poor living conditions. Contaminated water, overcrowding, poor sanitation, and lack of medical care increase the spread of diseases after flooding. Many flood victims lose their income, medicines, and personal belongings, making it difficult to access timely healthcare and basic treatment.
This project will organize emergency medical outreach services in flood-affected communities to provide free consultations, treatment, medicines, malaria testing, and health screening for vulnerable families. The project will also provide health education on sanitation, hygiene, disease prevention, and referrals for severe medical cases.
This project will improve healthcare access and recovery support for 200 flood victims in affected communities. It will reduce untreated illnesses, improve emergency health response, increase disease prevention awareness, and help vulnerable families recover more safely after disasters.
