Two Educate a Girl scholarship girls in Karachi would like to study in Lahore and attend Educate a Girl Lahore training. Funds would be used to pay for their travel expenses and stipend. They would meet Educate a Girl Lahore scholars and help build a community between the cities.
Two girls, aged 21 and 23 respectively, have not had the opportunity to travel outside of Karachi or go to Lahore and meet fellow Pakistani girls there and study together. Building a sense of community is very important to us and we've selected these two girls because of their hard working nature and desire to learn.
These funds will fully cover the cost of flights, lodging and food.
We are actively engaged in educating, grooming, mentoring and placing these girls in the job market. This project is helping women get and keep jobs and then create a system to hire others. We are reminding girls they have a voice, giving them a platform for that voice to be heard and the freedom to say whatever they want. 18% of alums have donated scholarships from their first paycheques!
