Train 150 Youths in Vocational Skills in Nigeria (54332)
Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation (SOHF)
This quarter, we were unable to begin training activities due to financial limitations. However, our commitment to empowering young people through vocational skills and entrepreneurship remains strong. The demand for youth training is high—many young Nigerians continue to struggle with unemployment, low income, and lack of access to practical skills that can change their lives.
Although the project has not yet started, we have been actively preparing for implementation once support is received.
Current Status
This quarter, we focused on:
Identifying youths who are eager to learn tailoring, hairdressing, catering, ICT, and other vocational skills.
Partnering with local training centers and instructors across Southeast Nigeria.
Developing a training curriculum that includes both skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development.
Mapping out communities with the highest need, especially where unemployment and poverty are severe.
The passion among young people to learn and grow is strong — but financial resources are needed to begin.
Looking Ahead: December/January Plans
With your support, we hope to kickstart the project this December/January with:
Vocational Skills Training
Tailoring, fashion design, hairdressing, make-up, catering, baking, ICT, and small-scale food processing.
Start-Up Kits
Sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, baking tools, and digital tools.
Business & Life-Skills Training
Financial literacy, entrepreneurship coaching, leadership skills, confidence building, and mentorship.
Job Placement & Follow-Up
Helping trained youths secure employment or start their own small businesses.
Your support can help a young person break free from poverty and become self-reliant.
