Dear friends,
Thank you for continuing to support literacy in Mexico. Because of you, we have been able to achieve a huge feat: inviting more than 700 readers from a dozen communities to join us at the Angela Peralta Theater. They have spent the last month working with their teachers to read the newest book by Pedro Antonio García, Un Perro Libre. The author, García, and seven musicians will be coming to San Miguel to give these young readers this magical experience.
The team at LPT and the teachers from these 12 schools have worked very hard to make this happen, and they do so happily because we know it will create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of these young people, many of whom are traveling 30 to 60 minutes and have never been in a theater.
