Dear friends,

Thank you for your ongoing support of our community projects. We’re excited to share what’s ahead this spring and how your involvement makes a difference.

We’re hosting TWO Big Reads — large-scale reading campaigns that bring students together around a single book and provide the rare opportunity to meet the author. In March, 600 children will meet Adolfo Córdova, and in June another 600 will meet Pedro Antonio Garcia. That's 1,200 children enrolled in the Big Reads this season!

Our teacher training programs are in full swing in both San Miguel de Allende and Dolores Hidalgo. These workshops — now serving 45 educators — focus on best practices to help children fall in love with books and on techniques for engaging read-alouds.

Our volunteers continue weekly visits to rural elementary schools, reading with children one-on-one and in small groups. We welcome committed, bilingual volunteers who live in San Miguel to join our Outreach Program and help expand this work. Email us to find out more!

Beginning March 17 and ending March 20, we will be doing our annual fundraising campaign; all donations up to $50 will be matched 50%. This is our only fundraising campaign of the year! Please, help us reach our goal so that we can reach all the children we hope to this year.
