What We Have Accomplished Together With Your Help!

Birthday Party for The Kids at Our School
Birthday Party for The Kids at Our School
Thank you for your continued support of our Education program. Our vision is to provide quality education to children in rural Zimbabwe, giving them a strong foundation for a brighter future. Unlike urban schools, where children often have access to computers, libraries, and modern learning resources, rural schools operate on shoestring budgets, leaving many children at a disadvantage.

Through Beautiful Beginnings Primary School, we are working to bridge this gap. But our mission goes beyond academics. We want every child to feel loved, valued, and excited about learning. Thanks to your generosity, we are delighted to share what WE have accomplished TOGETHER!

1. A Celebration of Love and Kindness — Making Every Child Feel Special

We recently held a staff seminar to reinforce our school's core values, with a special emphasis on KINDNESS. We reminded our teachers that every child deserves to feel loved, valued, and special. To put these values into action, we organized a collective birthday celebration for all the children at our school! The teachers sang "Happy Birthday," and afterward, the children returned to their classrooms, where their teachers cut birthday cakes and distributed slices of cake and lollipops. As you can see from the pictures, it was a wonderful celebration filled with joy, smiles, and laughter!

Our message to every child was simple: You matter. You are loved. You are special!

2. A Cup of Tea, A Whole Lot of Happiness! — Our Expanded Feeding Program

The program has been a tremendous hit! The children absolutely love it, and breaktime has quickly become one of the highlights of their day. In fact, some of the children were even asking our catering staff for “echo” (seconds) — another cup of tea and more bread! Apparently, one serving just wasn't enough for our little ones! Who knew that a simple cup of tea and a slice of bread could bring so much joy and excitement?

What a joy to see how something as simple as a cup of tea and a slice of bread with peanut butter can bring so much happiness to these precious children!

One parent shared this heartwarming story:

In Their Own Words — A Parent's Testimony
“It used to be a challenge waking up my son to go to school. But since the tea program was introduced, that is no longer a problem! Now he wakes up early on his own because he says he wants to go to school and drink tea!”

What a beautiful reminder that sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference!

Together, we are nourishing young minds and giving children another reason to love school!

3. Bridging the Digital Divide — Our Computer Program

Our school has 10 computers, giving children the opportunity to learn basic computer skills through hands-on training. The program is going exceptionally well! The children are enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn. For children in rural communities where access to technology is limited, this is a tremendous opportunity.

Together, we are opening doors to a world of possibilities!

4. Discovering the Joy of Reading — Our School Library

Our school library is making a wonderful difference! The children love reading books, exploring new stories, and learning new words. We have already seen significant improvements in their English language skills, vocabulary, and confidence.

Together, we are nurturing a love for reading and inspiring lifelong learners!

A Heartfelt Thank You — We Couldn't Do This Without You!

As we reflect on these accomplishments, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Every computer lesson, every book read, every birthday cake shared, and every cup of tea enjoyed is a reminder of the difference your generosity is making.

You are not just donors. You are part of our Beautiful Beginnings family!

As we approach the holiday season, our heartfelt prayer is that your hearts will be filled with the same joy and laughter that you have brought into the lives of these precious children. May you find joy in knowing that because of your generosity, children in a small rural community in Zimbabwe are smiling brighter, dreaming bigger, and looking forward to school each morning.

From all of us at Tekeshe Foundation and Beautiful Beginnings Primary School, THANK YOU for making this possible!

Together, we are changing lives, one child at a time.

With love and heartfelt gratitude,
Thelma on behalf of the The Tekeshe Foundation Team
