The Graduate Women International Hegg Hoffet programme is currently reviewing new applicants from Syria and Iraq.
We have received an application from a woman from Syria who is seeking assistance to complete her Master's degree in Fine Arts in Classical Acting at the George Washington University. In order for her to begin her Master's classes she is required to complete a course in English for Academic Purpose. Hearing that the Hegg Hoffet programme supports such language classes, she has applied for assistance with the language class. Another applicant is a medical doctor from Mosul, Iraq who would like to transfer her skills and gain General Medical Council (GMC) registration in the United Kingdom but she must first pass three qualifying exams. She has applied for assistance with the GMC application.
Thanks to the generous support of Graduate Women International donors these two women can, perhaps, realize their dreams and take the next steps towards careers and integration into their new countries.
