Dear Friends,
The project: Healthy Women, healthy families continue to provide health examinations for women who live in Kuçova Municipality. The project targets women and its focus is their reproductive health, to have good personal health and healthy families.
During August - November 2022, Diakonia Agapes was not able to raise the targeted funds for the project even though has participated in two campaigns organized by the GlobalGiving platform (Little by little 4-8 April 2022 and Little by Little 12-15 September 2022). There were only 8 donations offered in these campaigns. Still Diakonia Agapes efforts continue to knock to different donors, organizations, individuals who will support us in this important initiative.
Diakonia Agapes has continued to communicate will health care providers in Kuçova and they report that women are hesitant for health examination. The only way to convince women for the periodical health visits and PAP test is to bring the doctor in the area. So based in this evidence Diakonia Agapes will continue to fundraise in order to support these vulnerable women and families to have good health.
During January – November 2022 there were organized two workshops (three days each) (March 10, March 17, March 24, July 08, July 12 and July 14, 2022) that were attended by 60 The women raised their knowledge on cervical cancer, the importance of the PAP test, Sexually Transmitted Infections and its treatment.
