Recently we’ve been able to renovate Arthur’s house. The roof was redone, the floors have been changed, and the house has been repainted. He’s 9 years old and is undergoing treatment for lymphoma and lives with his mother and two brothers. Their house suffered from excessive humidity and seepage because of the lack of a roof. Due to Arthur’s fragile health condition, it was essential that his house be renovated to minimize hospitalizations. 

At Dara, Arthur and his family have also received help in other areas like health, education, income, and citizenship, positively impacting their socioeconomic transformation.

We’d like to thank you once again for your donation. It has been invaluable in transforming our families’ houses!

One of our recent projects has taken place at Nicollas’ house. He is 1 year and 10 months old and suffers from bronchospasms, congenital heart disease, malnutrition, has had a gastrostomy and a tracheostomy, and also wheezing. He lives with his 3-year-old sister and 18-year-old pregnant mother. Their house requires repairs to make it livable and improve the family’s overall health.

Dara’s architecture team has helped and made it possible for the roof to be completely changed, in turn minimizing seepage in each room, a new water tank was installed, tiles have been set in the bathroom, and the team has checked the plumbing and electrical installations. 

In addition to the updates made to the house, Nicollas and his family have received help with their health, citizenship, education and income.
