NPR features UM Healthcare Trust – A Beacon of Hope
UM Healthcare Trust and its impact on the lives of thousands of vulnerable people specifically expecting mothers in under-privileged areas of Pakistan, is showcased in the Morning Edition of National Public Radio (NPR) , USA, on 22nd August 2011.
NPR team spent the whole day at our facility interviewing doctors, staff and local community about the health problem in the areas and services provided by Umrana Mumtaz Healthcare Trust. The NPR team also visited the homes of expecting mother and their families to better comprehend the living conditions, social barriers and cultural taboos , which are major challenges for women of rural areas in getting necessary pre and post natal care. read more
